Bing Bird’s Eye Aerial View

I’ve praised Bird’s Eye View by Bing Maps before on Alexmn.com but it is worth mentioning again as within the past few weeks I’ve met with people that are looking at properties in the Alexandria, Minnesota area that were unaware of it. For those of you not familiar, Bing is Microsoft’s search engine. Visit is and then click ‘MAPS’ at the top left of the page. Your first map search will produce a Road Map. If you look at the top left of the map you will see Road, Bird’s Eye and Traffic. Click on Bird’s Eye and zoom in. For even better results, uncheck ‘show labels’. Here is an example showing Lake Le Homme Dieu’s Tolena Point.

While I am a Google fan and have successfully completed Google’s Power Searching Course, Bing’s Bird’s Eye View provides the best aerial views for Alexandria, Minnesota. It is a fantastic resource for buyers and especially those that don’t live nearby as it is a huge time saver. For example, a buyer can in most situations zoom in very close on a property and get a feel for the terrain and neighborhood. In most cases it’ll eliminate the experience of driving up to a home and knowing immediately that it is out of the question.
