LOS ANGELES – Alternative workspace providers have been eyeing Hollywood for some time. Indeed, the Hollywood Production Center has been around for a few years and has found it niche targeting the TV and movie industry.
Now, IgnitedSpaces is trying its hand at turning the heads of entertainment industry professionals in Los Angeles that are having a hard time finding low-cost work space for pre-production, production and post-production needs.
Although anyone is welcome to rent the space, IgnitedSpaces’ approach is to fit out modern, self-contained workspace for entertainment workers. The layout includes private office space, coworking desk space, and conference space available to rent by the hour, day, week or year. IngitedSpace members can also network and get educated at special events held at the center.
Matt Davis and Lawrence Kao, who both have a long history in the Los Angeles real estate industry, came up with the creative office space concept. The duo says more clients were asking them for flexibility and creativity in office leases – and they soon realized traditional commercial space and managed offices weren’t cutting it. Davis and Kao set out to offer office space as unique and individual as its users are.
“IgnitedSpaces immediately takes your breath away with views to the Hollywood sign as you enter reception,” says Davis. “From there it’s possible to relax in the large reception area, collaborate in the expansive co-working area or lock yourself away in one of the many private offices and conference rooms for individuals or teams.”
The overarching goal is to create a collaborative working environment within a “love what you do and do what you love” mentality. The company’s tagline is telling: Work hard. Work smart. Work Ignited.
“While still offering the many luxuries that come along with traditional work spaces, the bright colors and open layout serve as an escape from the many cube farms that are usually tied along with those,” Kao says. “Additionally, prices are within reach of even the most modest production company’s budget.”
