We still have some snow on the ground, including a big slab of ice right outside the front door that runs all along the north side of the house (which I forget about until I step out there numerous times a day), but it's melting fast. Sunny and warm, heading toward 70 degrees by early next week, then ice pellets predicted. Missouri weather is always crazy.
This is the time of year when our newly awakened hayfield and grazing pastures need all the moisture they can get, so we're hoping tomorrow's rain forecast will come through. In the meantime, I've been busy sowing old seeds in flats and in the greenhouse (the ground outside is still frozen) and ordering onion plants and (no doubt way too many) new seeds.
The lambs have been busy eating, playing, racing around the barnyard at top speed, growing like crazy, and laying around looking incredibly cute. Now if only they liked to be scooped up and snuggled.
