When it comes to best practices on your Pinterest page, there are an abundance of things that you can do. But what if you don’t have time or if you’re just starting your Pinterest presence? Here are the top 8 basic yet most important things everyone should do for their Pinterest page.
1. Pinterest users are generally women, ages 18-49, so optimize content to that audience.
2. Whenever possible, keep images with white background to a minimum as they are less engaging on Pinterest.3. Pinterest users are obsessed with food, fashion, travel, and DIY, so brand content should incorporate these categories when possible.
4. Pins should link back to your brand website (unless it is re-pinned from another user or site)
5. Tall images get repinned more, so try to work with a width to height ratio of 2:3
6. Pin 4-5 times per day (or more if you have time — no more than 20 pins per day), spaced throughout the day
