My Paris Kitchen book tour & All-Clad give away

I’ve finally reached a milestone in my life because I am actually going on a book tour. Yes, I can barely believe it myself. After years of publishers hiding me, aka “the loose cannon,” they are releasing me into the wild. I’ll be heading to the U.S. and Vancouver for a series of events to mark the release of My Paris Kitchen. While I’d love to go everywhere*, there’s only one (1) of me, and fifty (50) states – not to mention the provinces, territories, and wilds of Canada. However, if anyone can get me to Hawaii and arrange an event close to the beach, I will work on my publisher to find a way to accommodate that one. (But you may have to invite them to come with me.) So, in spite of how easy the airlines make it to change tickets, and the low-fees involved in doing so, this is it.
The happy news is that here are the cities and events where you’ll find me. And if I’m not coming to you – come to me! The other happy news is that I’ve teamed up with the kind folks at All-Clad for a give-away of a ten-piece set of their outstanding cookware. I’m a fan and use All-Clad in my Paris kitchen, having lugged my collection, piece-by-piece over the years, from the States. You can find out more and enter to win over at Tastebook. (Hurry – ends April 14th.)
All-Clad Giveaway
Over on my Schedule page, you’ll find more information about my appearances, including a few events and dinners that are sold-out, although you might want to click over there to check them out in case of any changes, cancellations, or additions that I’ll update if something changes. Note that the various venues have policies for books that can be signed. Some require that the book be purchased at the shop, some allow previously purchased books. For questions about venues and policies, please contact the specific place because I’m busy practicing sleeping on rectangular pillows and showering in hotels with shower curtains, and madly gathering up my 20% off coupons from Bed, Bath and Beyond, in preparation for the trip to the U.S.
Aside from accepting any-and-all donations of miles for upgrades (I also accept Junior Mints), so I don’t get squished in the middle row of the last aisle on the plane (because the last time I flew to the States, even though we gave ourselves a leisurely three hours to get from Paris to the airport via the RER – amazingly – we still didn’t make it to the airport on time, hence getting smushed in the last row, in the two middle seats, separated from each other), another policy that I’d like to put out there is that I’m extra happy if you want to take a photo. But if there are a number of people that show up (…er, hopefully…) when it’s your turn to sit on Santa’s lap**, that’s not the time to figure out how to use the camera function on your smartphone. Get it ready to shoot! And scope out a trusted friend, or neighbor, or someone you need a good pick-up line to approach, and ask them to be the photographer***.
Okay, enough jawing and begging for miles (and Junior Mints), and so forth – I’ll save the rest for the book tour – here are the places I’m gonna be…

*Hey, if I’m not coming to your city or area, you can order a signed book fromOmnivore Books or Book Larder, and they will send you a copy which I will happily personalize for you. Don’t live in the US or Canada? I hear ya on things those North Americans get that we don’t (beginning with Netflix….) But pas de problème – you can order My Paris Kitchen through Book Depository, with free international delivery. And I have tentative plans to be in London in early summer. So if you live there, you might want to hold off until then.
**Sorry, no lap-sitting on this tour. We’ll save that for next December. So you’ll have plenty of time to work on being naughty, or nice.
***If it’s someone who you want to ask out, make sure you scrub that camera roll clean before you hand someone your phone. Trust me on that one…
(Note that the pictures in this post are recipes from the book that I took, but are not the ones that appear in the book.)
