We’re just going to admit it… we are huge fans of Lana Del Rey here @Shopcade! Girl has amazing retro style, makes awesome music and has a make-up look most of us would kill for. Our guest blogger and star beauty curator, Polina Berdos shows us how to master the 60s siren look a la Del Rey in her fab video below.
Over to you, Polina…
“Beautiful Lana. She is such a phenomenon! I really love her classic 60s make-up and fashion style. She is so famous for her signature matte classic eye look with thick winged black eye liner, paired with nude or red lips.
In that way, she’s not only a songwriter and a singer but a make-up inspiration. Her looks make a lot of people miss 60s make-up, so I used her for inspiration when recreating this kind of look.
Lana uses a lot of natural shades, combined with a black liner. Just like in the 60s, the crease is one of the most important things to emphasise. A pair of false eyelashes is necessary in my opinion to complete her flirty eye make up.
Her thick black eyeliner gives her make up a cool retro feel. So classic, 60s mixed with a little American hipster plus sweet and chic all at the same time.
A perfect balance between classic and edgy. This tutorial will show you step by step how to achieve that siren cut crease look. You can find the products that I used and some similar products in my Shopcade List. So let’s live in the 60s for a moment!”
