Over the last couple of months I’ve been having the same conversation with my husband. The same one, over and over and over. I am sick and tired of Michigan weather and everything that goes with it but while I admit the weather is a factor it’s not all about the warm, like he says.
Weather in both locations at exactly the same time. Should there even be a question??
Me: Let’s move. I’m thinking Arizona. I’ve researched it a TON and I think it would be great for all of us.
Him: No.
Me: We could take walks outside, the dogs wouldn’t freeze their patooties off and we could grow an actual ORANGE.
Him: No.
Me: The kids would have the essential Vitamin D that they need. They could see sunshine more than once a month.
Him: No.
Me: It would be so fun to experience new things and meet new people.
Him: No. Wait (thinking). Still No.
Me: (crosses arms) You don’t even consider my happiness. Why are you always so mean?
Him: Why is it always about the warm?
Me: It’s about leaving the house without 10 layers of clothing, knee high boots, heating up the truck for 15 minutes, scraping off the windshield, white knuckling it all the way to where ever I’m going. Hey, maybe it is about the warm. But I’m still going.
Now this is where I need YOU. If you’re from Arizona or anywhere that has THE WARM, tell me all the reasons why my mean hubs should consider moving there. Help me out. I’ve run out of reasons to try and convince him. More than that, I’m freezing my a$$ off here.
