Last week a friend of mine was asking me where she could find the lowest price on a GoPro Hero 3 Camera for her husband for Christmas. It just so happened that I knew Walmart carried them (ok I know this because I shot what feels like ten billion videos for them this holiday season) and had an amazing low price, but in addition to that I knew that she could shop with confidence, because Walmart’s Christmas Ad Match would make her life easier and save her money.
Here’s how it works – if you buy a product a Walmart, then find it advertised elsewhere for a lower price later in the season, you can bring in your receipt and the ad, and Walmart will give you a gift card for the difference.
Easy, right?
So, I told my friend to pick up the GoPro for her husband, knowing that Walmart had her back.

And guess what – it works for online purchases too! When you buy a qualifying item on Walmart.com between Nov 1 and Dec 24 and find a lower advertised price on an identical product, send Walmart an email and they’ll match it – sending you the difference on an EGift Card. (See here for details.)
