The most tragic thing that can happen while moving to a new location is when you unpack your stuff and find broken items. Glassware, china, and delicate earthenware are all highly prone to breaking, and are generally very expensive.
Here are 5 tips that will help you get that those delicate belongings from point A to point B looking the same way.
- Use small boxes to pack them. Even if you stack them properly, or tie them up, they can move about the empty corners of large boxes and break. Use old cardboard packing’s of juicers, speakers, etc. for this task.
- Use newspaper to wrap individual items. Don’t use the same sheet of paper to wrap multiple items, even if they two very small articles.
- Cushion the boxes with foam before placing the wrapped items inside. This will keep the articles safe if the ride gets bumpy.
- Bubble wrap items those are extra fragile. Plates, expensive china and expensive glassware are prime examples for this.
- Don’t leave any empty spaces in the box. Just cushioning the boxes and wrapping the items cannot be considered as adequate safety measures.
