A FEW THINGS YOU (PROBABLY) DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT ME

A few things and facts you probably didn’t know about me.

1. I grew-up on a farm in Iowa. (NOT Idaho or Ohio)
2. My maternal grandmother lived to 102 years old
3. I have always dreamed about getting an airplane pilot’s licens
4. My two grandmothers had very unique and interesting names: Ruby and Icy
5. I had about 45 classmates in my high-school class
6. I lived and worked in Germany from March, 2007 to March, 2008
7. I have both a daughter and a son
8. I have four beautiful grandchildren
9. I have only lived in two different states in the USA, Iowa and California
10. I have been to Las Vegas twenty times, but almost all of my visits were for business conventions. I really don’t even like to gamble.
11. I have traveled to 10 countries, but didn’t get a Passport until ten years ago
12. I am a life long University of Iowa (Hawkeye) sports fan. Once a Hawkeye, always a Hawkeye!
13. I learned to drive a farm tractor three years before I learned to drive a car
14. I  have delivered babies…..actually they were baby pigs. (another farm story that I will tell you sometime)
15. My father never met his father (my paternal Grandfather), because his father died of an appendicitis attack just 30 days before my father was born
16. I went back to college at age 52 to complete my bachelor’s degree.
17. I have two older brothers and no sisters
18. My paternal grandmother was born in a Sod House in 1884 (Iowa)
19. I gave up playing golf. Not sure I really ever played the game, rather I think that game played me!
20. I do love to play racquetball!
21. I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats for President over the years
22. OK! I am now beginning to run out of items to list here! Are you still with me??? or did I lose you at learning to drive a tractor?
23. Once, I rode a bicycle for 55 miles in one day! (Yeap, only once!)
24. When I was a kid, an exciting Saturday night was going to the local roller skating rink (ok, don’t snicker)
25. I think it is time to stop, I am boring even myself!
