If you enthusiastically jumped into the role of at-home colorist but ended up with a botched dye job, don’t panic. In some cases, hair that’s been dyed too dark can be fixed with a single product everyone should have handy: dish soap.
To remove unwanted color fast, immediately shampoo with dish soap, such as Palmolive. If that doesn’t work, pick up a color remover kit at your local beauty supply store. Or, leave this one up the pros and head to the salon.
