Describe your office space to us:
I’ve always dreamed of having a cute little home office that was both pretty and functional.  After moving into our new home, I did just that.  I converted one of our empty bedrooms into a space I can call my own!  With lots of feminine touches, soft colors and a great work area, it definitely satisfies my every need.
Where did the inspiration for your office design come from?
With any design I do, I start with one piece that inspires me and I kind of just go crazy from there. I love combining different styles together and I believe in no rules. In this case, I found a great desk unit that someone was selling online. I repainted it with an unexpected color and the rest was history.
Which stores or websites did you go to to purchase your office decor?
I bought the desk off Kijiji (the Canadian version of craigslist), the chandelier and some frames where second hand purchases from my local thrift store that needed a little DIY love. The rest of the accessories came from either Home Sense or Ikea.
What is your favorite part/design of your office design space and why?
I would have to say the desk space.  I’m a huge crafter so having the surface to work on crafts and still being able to turn around and use my computer is a huge advantage for me.
Do you feel that having a well designed and inspiring office has changed the way you and your employees work?
Definitely! The before and after of my home office was quite the change in atmosphere.  It’s important to have a space that appeals to your senses, not only will you work harder but you will be happier.

If you could use one word to describe the feel of your office space, what would it be?
Cheerful
