Sydney’s Pick for Office Art Inspiration
“The Dream Big print, naturally! It’s truly a testament of how I live my life each day. Dreams are the fuel for success & why go small when you can Dream BIG?” -Sydney
Describe your office space to us:
Bright & cheerful meets clean & contemporary.
Where did the inspiration for your office design come from?
My office space is really a reflection of my personal style – I needed a space that aligned well with my evolving brand, a space where I could let my creativity run-free while keeping up with my day-to-day responsibilities at the agency.
Which stores or websites did you go to to purchase your office decor?
For fun desktop accessories I turn to Poppin, also available at Chapters Indigo. I stuck with white accessories but they’re line of bright cheerful colors are so fun & playful.
The Cross Design in Vancouver is just filled to the brim with beautiful items (and not to mention my favorite store in the city), many of which added the finishing touches to my workspace, like my hot pink Delta lamp, cute party straws & stylish coffee table books.
To make things a little more personal I added branded white pencils by Row House 14 (available on Etsy) and customized notecards made by local company, Kardz Kouture.
What is your favorite part/design of your office design space and why?
The focal point of my space has to be the beautiful, handmade tassel garland that hangs above my desk. It’s made locally in Vancouver by Confetti & Co., the prettiest online shop for anything party-related. It definitely ties the look together & brings me such happiness at the end of a long, not-so-over-yet day!
Do you feel that having a well designed and inspiring office has changed the way you and your employees work?
Having a well designed space definitely affects my work! First off, if it’s not neat & tidy, I simply cannot do my job. So having a clean, well thought-out space is a must & really does increase my efficiency & allows me that creative space to let go & be inspired by the work I do, in the Advertising world or in my own personal ventures.
If you could use one word to describe the feel of your office space, what would it be?
F-U-N! What’s the use in working so hard if you’re not having any fun in the process! I made sure to incorporate tiny elements of fun throughout the space to lighten the vibe & keep things playful. Note the glass canister filled with colorful confetti – I believe in taking small steps to success each day, every day is an accomplishment.
Tell us about your company and it means to you to have a well-designed office space.
The Working Girl really speaks to the modern-day working girl, who pushes the envelope & likes to look stylish doing it! I’m committed to my passions, career & style and having a well-designed office space is simply an extension of that.
